Linked twogether

I've got two links for the full version of Death Rebellion on the sidebar to the right. One on my usual FileFront account and one on Planet DOOM.

Nobody told me anything about that, but hey, it's another download location.

From the post announcing it:

A new nine-player mission is available, but this one's got a bonus! Remaking his original DOOM mission, Death Rebellion, Skul has not only offered up fresh single player action for DOOM 3 players, but there's a classic DOOM bonus edition as well in the download! We've got Death Rebellion ready for you in our Files Section so you can get into the action ASAP! Additional info can be gleaned from the DOOM3World announcement thread.

Thanks for the linkage, guys, but nine-player mission? Don't you mean nine-map single player mission? Or single-player nine-map mission? Or... nine-mission map... mission... single mission nine-map... ah, whatever!

Apparently, whoever typed that post got so excited by my maps, they couldn't type correctly.

Anyway, that's two links for it. I'm keeping the demo up there just incase somebody wants to download that for some reason.

Release Me!

Keep an eye out, as Death Rebellion shall be released shortly.

Yes, after TEN MONTHS (since I began around July 2006), it's getting released... TODAY!

Now, I know I promised a trailer... but I couldn't get Fraps or any other video recording program to record DOOM 3! The idea was to record a small part of the DOOM 1 versions, then record roughly the same thing in DOOM 3 to show how similar they are. Fraps recorded DOOM 1 absolutely fine, but not DOOM 3, even though it's compatible.

You'll have to make do with screenshots, which don't do games justice, these days.

Anyway, I'll get to hosting stuff and pasting the links to them everywhere.

Watch this space!

[Insert witty/funny catchphrase here]

UPDATE!! UPDATE!!

As of 10:20 p.m. GMT, Death Rebellion has been released! Check this post on Doom3World.org.

Almost Done? Lies!

Yes, I'm almost done. Just getting the ending cinematic to work out the way I want it. Well, not exactly the way I want it, but I've gotten a good workaround. All I need now is to time a few bits correctly and they'll be done.

A trailer for the episode will be released on my YouTube channel, soon, so it's a good thing Blogger updated their service to allow YouTube videos to be put directly on to blog posts.

I'd best get back to that cutscene, now...
